AMHERST COLLEGE JAZZ ENSEMBLES

We are the jazz ensemble and jazz combos from Amherst College, Amherst, MA. We rehearse weekly during the academic year and perform many times throughout each semester. Complimenting our performance efforts are private lessons taught by local professional jazz musicians and academic offerings through the music department consisting of jazz theory and improvisation courses, a course devoted to the birth of Bebop, and special independent study courses.
