Alterations by Elizabeth

Growing up in Holyoke Massachusetts the school years offered Home Economics where I was exposed to sewing.

There was always a treadmill type sewing machine in the apartment where I lived in the Old Jackson Parkway

Apartments in Holyoke Massachusetts but I don't remember ever starting to use it until after I gained some experience sewing.

My project in school that I was very proud of was a green wool wrap maxi coat that I made with redfur it had a big hood and patch pockets.

My desire to sew and to make people look their best in what they wore led me to working at a bridal salon in Holyoke.

I gained more sewing skills working at dry cleaners as a seamstress and picked up more sewing skills working at upholstery shop as well.

I now am an independent contractor sewing for surrounding and local dry cleaners.

My Love for alterations continues and the business Alterations by Elizabeth "bring out the best in you" offers pick-up and drop-off service.

From time to time I share live videos and offer workshops on sewing and Pattern making including Fashion design your own item.
